1. Introduction
Nsightify ("Nsightify," "we," "us," or "our") operates nsightify.com (the "Website") and the Nsightify AI video analytics platform (the "Platform"). We are headquartered in Los Angeles, California, United States.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and what rights you have over your personal information. It applies to:
- Visitors to nsightify.com
- Prospective and current business customers and their authorized users who access the Platform
- Anyone who contacts us or interacts with our marketing communications
If you are a business customer using our Platform, your use is also governed by the agreement between Nsightify and your organization.
Please read this policy carefully. By using our Website or Platform, you acknowledge the practices described here.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide Directly
When you visit our Website or contact us, you may voluntarily provide:
- Contact and inquiry data — your name, business email address, job title, and company name when you submit a demo request, contact form, or other inquiry
- Newsletter subscription data — your email address when you sign up for product updates or communications
- Live chat data — messages you send through our live chat widget, including any personal information you choose to share during the conversation
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you visit our Website, we and our service providers automatically collect certain technical data, including:
- Usage data — pages visited, time spent on pages, links clicked, and referring URLs
- Device and browser data — IP address, browser type and version, operating system, and device identifiers
- Cookie and tracking data — see Section 5 for full details on the cookies and tracking technologies we use
2.3 Platform Data — What Nsightify Processes on Behalf of Customers
The Nsightify Platform is a business-to-business (B2B) service. When our customers deploy the Platform, it connects to their existing camera infrastructure and processes live video streams to generate real-time operational intelligence.
What Nsightify does NOT collect or store:
- Raw video footage or recordings from customer camera systems
- Archives or copies of camera streams
- Personally identifiable information about individuals who appear in video feeds
What Nsightify does collect:
- Anonymized, aggregated analytical data — our AI models generate statistical output data (such as event counts, alert frequencies, and compliance metrics). This data is non-identifiable and aggregated at the operational level. We may retain this data for model performance monitoring, service improvement, and customer reporting.
2.4 Our Role: Data Controller vs. Data Processor
For Website data (contact forms, newsletter signups, live chat), Nsightify acts as the data controller — we determine how and why your information is processed.
For Platform data, Nsightify acts as a data processor — we process video streams on behalf of our business customers, who act as the data controllers. This means:
- The business customer is responsible for having the appropriate legal basis and privacy notices in place for individuals who appear in their camera footage (employees, visitors, contractors, or members of the public)
- Nsightify processes that video data strictly according to the customer's instructions and in accordance with a Data Processing Agreement (DPA)
- If you are an individual whose image may have been captured through a customer's deployment of our Platform, please direct any privacy inquiries to that business directly, as they are the data controller responsible for that processing
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
| Purpose | Legal Basis Under GDPR |
|---|---|
| Responding to demo requests and inquiries | Legitimate interest / pre-contractual steps |

We do not use personal information to make automated decisions that produce legal or otherwise significant effects on individuals.
4. How We Share Your Information
Nsightify does not sell your personal information. We do not share personal information with third parties for their own independent marketing purposes.
We share information only in the following circumstances:
- Service providers — We work with trusted third-party vendors who help us operate our Website and business (see Section 6). These providers are contractually bound to process your data only on our behalf and subject to appropriate security requirements.
- Business customers — If you are an authorized user accessing the Platform through a business customer's account, that customer may have access to activity and data generated within their account.
- Legal requirements — We may disclose information if required to do so by law, court order, or government authority, or where we have a good-faith belief that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Nsightify, our customers, or others.
- Business transfers — If Nsightify is involved in a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice before any such transfer takes effect and before your data becomes subject to a materially different privacy policy.
